Media > OrganizersCreate Chaos is being organized by experienced leaders in the creative industry publishing and conference space.Jerry Brown, president of Brahn Communications, Inc., www.brahn.com, is the Executive Producer of Create Chaos 2008. Brown conceptualized the idea for Create Magazine in 2000, publishing his first issue in 2001. He served as President, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, until the sale of the magazine in May 2008. Prior to starting Create, Brown managed a successful career in multiple veins of the creative industry. He was named Art Director of the Year by the Florida Magazine Association. Brown has served on the board of the Orlando Advertising Federation and the Florida Magazine Association (FMA). Brown was awarded Publisher of the Year for 2005 by FMA. He now turns his attention and his connections in the creative industry to produce a unique collection of live events geared to creative professionals in the advertising and production industries. As ”STORM BREWER” aka Event Director of Create Chaos 2008, Katrina Priore has helped establish the "super-conference" from the ground up with strategic partnership development and positioning, advertising/media sponsorship coordination, and overall logistics assistance. Previously the Assistant Publisher of Create Magazine, the award-winning magazine for creative professionals; as well as the Partner Relations Manager for Create Communications, Priore fostered and maintained strategic relationships and promotional campaigns for many initiatives including the Create Awards (www.thecreateawards.com); The Create Network (www.createmagazine.com); the Create Member Discounts; and special annual print showcases. She also coordinated media sponsorships for literally hundreds of tradeshows/events across the country. Priore is very involved in Central Florida professional organizations including the AAF-O / Ad2 Orlando where she has held several board positions; the Rock for Hunger Charity Planning Committee; and most recently launch support of the new Doterati organization, connecting marketing and tech professionals both online and offline. Her favorite way to Create Chaos? She likes to use "Rock, Paper, Scissors" to determine some life-changing decisions - don't underestimate the power of the Paper! Dana R. DeLapi is the Director of Content and Media Relations with Brahn Communications, Inc. DeLapi handles all speaker engagements and relations, as well as works as a liaison to the media for Create Chaos 2008. DeLapi is the former Editor of Create Magazine, a national creative publication serving the creative industries and aimed to inform, connect, inspire and educate the creative community. Through Create, DeLapi has interviewed and worked with professionals all over the world in various creative industries including advertising, photography, new media and graphic design. In addition to editorial duties, DeLapi also had a hand in developing various marketing materials and strategies for Create Communications, including the Create Awards and the Create Network. For the past five years, DeLapi has worked in both magazine and newspaper, developing her writing and editing skills. She has had the honor of judging creative competitions across the country, as well as speaking at local events regarding the magazine industry and the importance of getting involved in your local community. DeLapi also holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Central Florida. |
